KonkaEnergy is pleased to present our 3.44MWh Modular Containerized Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)11. This utility-scale solution is engineered for high-demand scenarios including frequency regulation for power plants, user-side peak shifting, and micro-grid integration for wind and solar applications.
System Architecture & Configuration
The system is housed within a standard 20HQ container designed without an internal aisle to maximize energy density. The 3.44MWh capacity is achieved through a robust modular hierarchy:
- Battery Modules: 80 total modules, each featuring a 1P48S configuration with 48 LFP cells, providing 43.008kWh per module.
- Battery Racks: 10 racks (clusters) per container, with each rack containing 8 modules and a dedicated control box.
- Integrated Power: Total nameplate energy of 3440.64kWh on the DC side with a voltage range of 1075.2V to 1382.4V.

- Liquid Cooling Thermal Management: Features a 60kW cooling capacity system using advanced heat dissipation to ensure temperature consistency and prolong battery SOH.
- Three-Tier BMS: A comprehensive management hierarchy including BMU (Module), BCMS (Cluster), and BAMS (System Unit).
- Multi-Level Protection: Employs a cascade protection mechanism combining hardware and software, alongside an FM-200 fire suppression system.
- Active Equalization: Utilizes a self-developed active equalization algorithm to increase the depth of system use.
- Smart Grid Ready: Fully supports EMS scheduling, SCADA monitoring, and Web direct access control for energy internet participation.
Intelligent Monitoring
The system includes an optional ESS Cloud Platform providing:
- Remote Control: Real-time monitoring of running status across different regions.
- Data Analytics: Visualization of profit, charge/discharge capacity, and detailed cell-level analysis (SOC, temperature difference, and pressure).
- Communication: Standard Ethernet interface with Modbus TCP/IP protocol support.
